Event Description

A Little About The Golden Mean - www.myspace.com/thegoldenmeanband

The Golden Mean's debut full-length album Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God is released! Recorded at the famous Greenhouse Studios in Vancouver with producer Jay Evjen (Hot Hot Heat, Wide Mouth Mason, and Todd Kerns). TGM's "Sinners" is a thick wall of sound, with mellifluous vocals, rich guitars, and trouncing drums and bass. The album also includes some featured artists, such as Ryan Dahle (Age of Electric & Limblifter) playing additional guitar on Out Before You Knew. TGM also has released a music video for their first single Product A (available on YouTube and Myspace), with Stunt Choreography from the acclaimed Lauro Chartrand (X-men trilogy & Last Samurai). The video has received great reviews from individuals in the film industry.

Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God is available online through iTunes & CD Baby or at Zulu Records in Vancouver.

The Golden Mean, a four-piece outfit that deftly blends the melody rich alternative rock of the 90's with the heavy hitting rhythms of contemporary rock. The band consists of Russ Kelly (vocals/guitar), Dan Schold (guitar/synthesizer/samples), Justin Schold (bass), and Geoff Petrie (percussion).

The Golden Mean is fresh off of a very successful Western Canadian tour. Which had tour dates in Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Lethbridge, Banff and many more, with great response from fans young and old.

The band has also recently had great exposure through the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks. With their songs, Product A, Falling Apart, and Out Before You Knew featured on their official website, as well as played at recent home games. Sledgehammer Media, the organization running the Vancouver Canucks promotions, also shot a “Canucks Style” video for Product A in support of the song.
